Herbert Henry and Hilda 1919-1954
Herbert Henry Mackereth, aged about 24, married Hilda Hall, aged about 24, in 1919 at Holy Trinity
in Morecambe and Heysham, Lancs
Hilda's father was Richard Hall who had been Mayor of Morecambe.

The back ground is Torrisholme Hall Farm which is where the Hall family lived at that time.
Unfortunately, the whole farm has disappeared for housing and the farmhouse has been demolished to make way for a block of flats.

After the death of Herbert, Hilda went into a care home at White Lund corner, in Torrisholme. She had a reasonable social life in that community, since it was where she had spent her youth, having lived at Torrisholme Hall farm.
