George and Sarah Mackreth

George was the second son of John and Anne.  Thus he was Richard's uncle.
He was born in Old Hutton
Little is known of his early years.
He married Sarah Greenwood on 18 November 1822, in Milnthorpe.
He lived and worked at the Green, in Milnthorpe, as a cooper.
They had a daughter Isabella (1823-1895) who in 1846 married Thomas Atkinson, a tailor, in Milnthorpe.
Sarah died in 1849 of consumption.
George died in 1867 of 'bronchial disease'.
